Harry Blair is currently Visiting Fellow in South Asian Studies at Yale University. He has worked as an academic political scientist and as a consultant since earning his PhD at Duke University in 1970, mostly in South Asia, but also in Southeast Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe. His topics have included agriculture, forestry, rural development, public administration, civil society, decentralization, elections and political parties, and macro-level politics. He has taught at Bucknell, Cornell, Rutgers and Yale Universities, and has served as consultant with USAID, DfID, Ford Foundation, Swedish SIDA, UNDP and the World Bank.
