Mohana Dhas has served for 35 years as a Software Professional in the National Informatics Centre (NIC) in various capacities. He is presently officiating as the State Informatics Officer in Kerala, a position he has held for the last six years. His areas of expertise include e-Governance Solutions and Implementation, Application Security Management, Mobile App Competency Centre, Cloud Data Centre Management and Open Stack Solutions. He has a M.Tech. in Computer Science from IIT Delhi.

As the State in-charge of NIC, he has been involved in partnering with several Departments of Government of Kerala to implement ICT solutions, with a majority of the ICT Solutions developed at NIC Kerala. The Integrated Financial Management Systems (IFMS) Kerala, e-District, PEARL with Electronic Stamping for Property Registration coupled with Land Records Computerization using Bhunaksha, Ration Card Management System in Kerala, e-District Kerala, SPARK for HRMS in Kerala, e-Treasury as Receipt and Payment gateway solutions for Govt., Agriculture and Fisheries Informatics, e-Hospital, e-Office with Inter and Intra office Communication, PRICE, RealCraft and SAGARA, e-Procurement, Budget 2.0 are some of the major ICT solutions implemented by NIC in Kerala during his tenure.
